Accessibility

Access should not depend on one way of using a website

Good Taste Awards aims to make its public information, entry guidance, product search, verification and standards reading usable by as many people as possible.

Pages are designed for clear heading navigation, keyboard use, visible focus, readable contrast, text enlargement and assistive technologies. Star levels, result states and errors are expressed in words rather than colour or symbols alone.

02

Reading and navigating

Content follows a logical order and uses descriptive links. Tables retain meaningful headings, and essential information is provided in text. Pages are intended to remain usable when text is enlarged or the layout narrows.

Recorded speech is accompanied by captions or a transcript where it carries information. Motion is not required to understand or use an essential task.

03

Forms and secure services

Labels, requirements and errors are stated in text. A successful submission message confirms receipt without implying that the requested outcome has been approved.

If a secure service presents an access barrier, ask for another accessible way to perform the same task.

04

Language

English is the authoritative language of Good Taste Awards. Controlled terms are explained in plain language where practical. Any translated or adapted representation should retain access to the authoritative English source.

05

Report an accessibility barrier

Tell us:

  • the page or task affected;
  • what prevented access;
  • the browser or assistive technology involved, where relevant;
  • what you expected to happen;
  • the response format you need, if applicable.

Do not include unnecessary health or personal information. We will use the details to understand the barrier and identify an accessible alternative or correction.
