You can search by document title, identifier, subject, controlled term or requirement identifier. Results distinguish standards from non-normative guidance so that an explanatory guide is not mistaken for a requirement.

The current document is the text that applies now. A fixed version preserves the exact wording of an earlier published representation so that a citation or historic decision can still be understood accurately.

Where a document has been superseded, the library identifies the newer source without altering the preserved text of the earlier version.

Some controlled sources include confidential service records or personal information that cannot be published. In those cases, the library may provide an authorized public extract that preserves the public requirements and source identity without exposing restricted material.

An extract should be read as the approved public view of that source, not as evidence that omitted confidential information does not exist.

Use the document identifier, title, version identity and, where relevant, the requirement identifier. Link to a fixed version when your citation must remain tied to the exact text consulted.
