What this notice covers
Cookies and similar browser storage can remember a choice, protect a secure session or help a website understand whether a service is working. This notice explains the purposes for which Good Taste Awards may use that storage and how visitors can control optional use.
The preference control identifies the technologies currently in use, including their provider, purpose and duration. A purpose not shown there is not treated as authorized by this general notice.
Storage may be necessary to deliver a function a visitor requests or to protect it. Examples include maintaining a secure session, preserving a privacy choice, preventing unauthorized form submission and protecting an entry or payment step.
Blocking necessary storage in the browser may prevent the affected secure function from working. It does not change any product assessment or result.
Optional storage may remember a non-essential display preference or help Good Taste Awards understand whether pages can be found and used. Where a choice is required, optional storage follows that choice.
Refusing optional storage does not prevent access to public standards, category guidance, method explanations or ordinary award verification.
A payment service, video, map or other external feature may receive device information when a visitor chooses to use it. The page should make that external involvement clear before activation where the choice is optional.
External services operate under their own terms. A plain link or another practical way to reach core information is provided where appropriate.
Cookies do not contribute a liking response, select an assessor, determine a candidate star, confirm a result or alter an award record. Website traffic and browsing behaviour are not evidence that one product tastes better than another.
The preference control allows you to review and change optional choices that apply to this website. A browser can also inspect, delete or block storage, although blocking everything may interrupt login, payment, secure entry or form-protection functions.
Changing an optional choice affects future use. It may not erase information already processed lawfully or remove storage placed by an external site before a browser setting changed.
Some storage ends when the browser session closes. Other items remain only for the period justified by their stated purpose. The active preference control provides the specific duration for each technology in use.
Read the Privacy Notice to understand how website information may relate to personal data. When reporting a problem, identify the page, browser and observed behaviour without sending passwords or unnecessary private information.
