1 Purpose
This document sets the defined parameters and decision conditions for Star Meanings, Result States, and Approved Statements for Good Taste Awards.
2 Scope
This document applies to the requirements, decisions, records, controls, and outputs expressly identified under Star Meanings, Result States, and Approved Statements. Award scope and exclusions are defined by GTA-STD-100; this document shall not create an additional award dimension. Operational prerequisites identified here affect assessment validity and never constitute product certification.
3 Authority and interpretation
The Standards Authority owns GTA-SCH-501; the Standards Authority approves it. formal verbs, defined terms, stable requirement identities, policy constants, and generated representations shall be interpreted under GTA-GOV-002, GTA-GOV-005, and the defined registers.

4 Requirements
GTA-SCH-501-R001 — No-star state
The Standards Authority shall define absence of a star without non-taste failure implication.
GTA-SCH-501-R002 — One-Star meaning
The Standards Authority shall apply the defined One-Star public phrase exactly.
GTA-SCH-501-R003 — Two-Star meaning
The Standards Authority shall apply the defined Two-Star public phrase exactly.
GTA-SCH-501-R004 — Three-Star meaning
The Standards Authority shall apply the defined Three-Star public phrase exactly.
GTA-SCH-501-R005 — Process states
The Standards Authority shall define held, invalid, withdrawn, under defined review, corrected, and publication-eligible states.
GTA-SCH-501-R006 — Ordinary statements
The Standards Authority shall authorize exact individual product star statements and method descriptions.
GTA-SCH-501-R007 — Prohibited implications
The Standards Authority shall exclude universal, safety, health, value, certification, ranking, and unsupported comparison meanings.
GTA-SCH-501-R008 — Index statements
The Standards Authority shall define the permitted explanation of the Good Taste Publication Index.
GTA-SCH-501-R009 — Translation
The Standards Authority shall preserve the English authority and verify accessibility representations.
GTA-SCH-501-R010 — Correction language
The Standards Authority shall provide defined wording for corrected, suspended, restored, and withdrawn public states.

A review may examine process, calculation, data, product scope, comment accuracy, publication, or mark use. It shall not replace a valid taste judgment with a new preference vote.
6 Conformity and records
Conformity with Star Meanings, Result States, and Approved Statements requires evidence comprising the source evidence, defined decision, accountable role, and independent or automated verification. The record for each applicable GTA-SCH-501 requirement shall permit reconstruction without relying on an unrecorded explanation.
Evidence created under GTA-SCH-501 shall use stable identifiers, immutable event sequence numbers, and machine event timestamps. A correction shall be append-only. A nonconformity shall place the affected object in a non-releasable state until its consequence and confirmed disposition are recorded. Role combination remains subject to the mandatory separation rules.
