5 Assessor classification and authority
| Classification | Nature | Qualification basis | Decision contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consumer-side assessor | composition track | realistic consumption possibility, task understanding, integrity, and target-population fit | one equally weighted Overall Liking response |
| Potential consumer | consumer-side subtype | consumer-side qualification without an additional descriptive threshold | no contribution separate from the consumer-side track |
| Food enthusiast | consumer-side subtype | consumer-side qualification plus demonstrated descriptive discipline | no contribution separate from the consumer-side track |
| Professional assessor | composition track | relevant verifiable experience plus blind and confirmation competence | one equally weighted Overall Liking response and bounded confirmation only where assigned |
| Category authorization | qualification scope | verified relevance to one or more defined categories | no separate composition track or additional vote |
| Panel Lead | operational role | facilitation, minority protection, evidence discipline, and escalation competence | no vote unless the person is separately eligible and assigned in one composition track |
Every voting assessor shall occupy exactly one composition track for one product. Consumer-side subtype, category authorization, and Panel Lead authority are attributes or assignments and shall not create an additional voting identity. A Panel Lead who is also an assigned assessor shall lock the complete independent response before exercising any facilitation authority. The individual shall not prepare or serve that product, control its blind identity, authorize its result, or act as Independent Reviewer for the same evidence. Professional status shall not increase the weight of an Overall Liking response. No person may contribute more than one liking response to the same product decision route.
6 Assignment and independence controls
Assignment shall consider target-population fit, declared and detected conflicts, temporary sensory fitness, repeated product exposure, category competence where required, workload, intensity, alcohol exposure, and order balance. Entrants shall not select or veto individual assessors.
Employment, consultancy, investment, product development, close personal relationship, active dispute, material gift, confidential prior access, or recognizable participation shall be classified before assignment. A post-lock conflict shall trigger impact review without deleting the original response.
7 Conformity and records
Conformity with Assessors, Panels, and Independence requires evidence comprising the source evidence, defined decision, accountable role, and independent or automated verification. The record for each applicable GTA-STD-400 requirement shall permit reconstruction without relying on an unrecorded explanation.
Evidence created under GTA-STD-400 shall use stable identifiers, immutable event sequence numbers, and machine event timestamps. A correction shall be append-only. A nonconformity shall place the affected object in a non-releasable state until its consequence and confirmed disposition are recorded. Role combination remains subject to the mandatory separation rules.
