Results, Comments and Deliverables

The secure result is the authoritative entrant communication

After the assessment evidence has passed the required decision and authorization checks, the entrant receives the applicable result communication through the secure service. A provisional candidate, informal panel remark, service status or unapproved publication text is not an confirmed result.

Review the product identity and status before making any public statement.

Star results

An awarded product receives the applicable defined result:

  • One Star — Excellent taste. Worth choosing.
  • Two Stars — Outstanding taste. Worth seeking out.
  • Three Stars — Exceptional taste. Worth making a special effort to experience.

The result applies only to the assessed product identified in the communication. It does not extend automatically to the producer, brand, range, recipe family or another format.

No Star

No Star means that no star threshold was satisfied in a completed first assessment. It is not a safety, health, nutrition, sustainability, value or business-quality finding.

The entrant still receives the written product comment. The comment may identify real strengths and explain where the experience did not sustain enough Overall Liking for recognition.

Unable to Assess

This state means that a valid liking response could not be obtained. The notice identifies the applicable reason within the permitted disclosure boundary.

Unable to Assess is not a low taste result. No star or award mark is confirmed from that state.

Assessment Invalid

This state means that a mandatory integrity condition failed. The affected evidence cannot support public recognition.

The disposition may require closure, correction or a defined reassessment depending on the source of invalidity. A new tasting is not automatic.

Procedural Reassessment

This state means that a new defined assessment is required. The earlier pathway remains non-releaseable for star claims while the reassessment is pending.

The reassessment follows new blind and assignment controls; it is not a negotiated second opinion using the prior result as a target.

Withdrawn

Withdrawn means that recognition authority has been removed. The associated star and award mark shall no longer be claimed or displayed.

The public verification record shows the current status without exposing restricted review evidence.

The written product comment

Every completed first assessment receives a comment. The comment draws on sensory observations recorded and discussed after the independent response lock.

It may explain:

  • what created the strongest pleasure;
  • how aroma, flavour and texture developed;
  • whether balance held through repeated tasting;
  • where the finish invited or discouraged another taste;
  • which sensory limitation mattered most;
  • where panel experiences differed.

The comment is edited for clarity and evidence discipline. It is not rewritten as producer advertising.

Public publication

An awarded product may be published after the result and relevant product fields are authorized. The public record can include the product name, producer display name, star, category, comment and verification status.

Private entry fields, individual responses, assessor identities, internal candidate records and restricted review material are not published.

Award assets

Where a star is authorized, the entrant can access the correct mark, certificate or digital asset through the applicable defined service. Permission remains tied to the product, star, channel, asset and status.

Do not recreate the mark, change the number of stars, combine it with a certification claim or place it where consumers could reasonably believe that an unawarded product is covered.

What can be said publicly

An ordinary statement identifies the product and its exact Good Taste Awards star. Supporting copy may use the defined star phrase and confirmed comment.

Do not convert the result into:

  • best in category;
  • preferred by consumers;
  • healthier, safer or more sustainable;
  • better than a named product;
  • a company-wide endorsement;
  • a guarantee that every person will enjoy it.

If something appears wrong

Check whether the concern involves product identity, calculation, data, comment accuracy, publication, award-mark use or procedure. Use the review process and provide the supporting evidence.

A review can correct a demonstrable error. It cannot replace a valid taste judgment because the entrant hoped for another outcome.
